Rim (lip protection) on new tires
I am replacing my Hankook Ventus in sizes 235/35/19 / 265/30/19 with probably the Continental ExtremeContact DWS and was wondering if the Continental's offer a better "rim..lip" guard than the Hankook's at this size or would I have to go up in size to 245 / 275.
The Hankook's leave to much of the lip exposed on my VMR 701's. Any insight would be appreciated. |

Some tires stretch more than others. The DWS I wouldn't say stretch as well so you might be good on that compared to the hancooks. I have the tires and the most stretched tires were falken fk452 that I experienced. How wide are your wheels.
I went 285/235 on falken FK452 with 10.5 rear offset 25 and 9 in front offset 20. I now run 265/235 with 10 et 22 and 9 et 22 (style 95s) |
