Independent Labour Rates
I went into my (very) local indy yesterday for a chat.
PJ Automotive, Stoke on Trent Nice guys, small outfit, seemed completely clued up. Even tried to talk me out of replacing my rear subframe bushes as it was a waste of money!  (I'm sure it was equally because it's a pig of a job for them, but kudos for honesty  )Anyway... they're happy to use and fit parts I supply myself, and their labour charge? £45+VAT an hour bargain!Booked in for my MOT with them next week, let's see if I can make it through without any unnecessary brake pad sales

I had a similar experience with my local indie. a few mins walk down the road.
Trying to talk me out of changing my nearly fairly worn tires. It is a refreshing change from having to bend over everytime you walk into BMW! Only drawback is them not having the latest BMW software etc, but hey ho. |

Where parts are concerned there is an obligation to supply. One would assume that essential software should be regarded in similar fashion?

I hope I can find a decent indpendant garage near me as the last one I went to screwed me left, right and centre...parts I supplied which they didnt use and charged me
