The N55 stage 2 install usually ranges from $900-$1200 for labor at most Euro shops. Coolant and o-rings will be a little extra. If you're being quoted a lot more than that, you're at the wrong shop.

Despite only paying for only 1 repair in my life, I am going to have to find an installer for this. Not sure I want to spend 2x the time that someone who's already done one would. Also considering having an intake cleaning done at the same time since my idle has been fairly rough and it certainly won't hurt. This turbo, a few touches on the suspension and a new clutch and I may call this car complete.

I really don't wanna have to pay to ship my car from Texas to have you guys work on it. But damn, that would be an awesome excuse to come to California again and drive a really fun car back..

Your sig showing a 12.6 1/4 makes me sad. I have the same parts minus Meth/Inlets and can't get passed 13.2 in my E90. I need a protune for these new parts on my Cobb.

Sorry thats a typo, Bimmerworld quoted $90 an hour, but they would not give me an estimate of how many hours it would take as they have never done the job before. I almost looked at Eurowise because they have great reviews. Eurowise hourly rate was $95, and I said "ehh thats fair, what is the estimated hours for the job." (I've heard anywhere from 6-12 hours now which I'd be perfectly fine paying.) When he said 25 hours; 3 day process, my jaw hit the floor. Eurowise said they are currently completing an n54 pure stage 2 setup. I'm nervous to drop it off at Bimmerworld and go back and they say, Well we got it done, it only took us 24 hours, you owe us $2,200."
If you find a shop that charges you 6 hours at 90 dollars an hour, let me know. I'll floor it over from Florida to get a stage 2 kit installed at that price.

I got quoted 1800 locally, their words 'pay to play man'

This is essentially a 'oem' turbo R and R. As in I could take it to the dealer to have them install it for the booktime and they wouldnt be the wiser that it wasnt a 'oem turbo'

I feel that shop treated it like some crazy custom fab build of an install >.>
