Reason number one of like 1000 why I decided to go back on 18s. Try doing that on gloss black rims!

I'll never go back to 19s.

Do you drive through width restricted roads and park next to a high curb on a corner at least four times every day?

Tbh between 16 and 30 I never once curbed any of my rims, but that was down to the fact I never had a set of 19" rims between those ages, only 18"

I did the same thing, never curbed a rim, put my newly refinished style 95s on and within a six month period did it twice, in the same spot.

When I walk through parking lots, I look at every car's wheels to see if the driver has curb-rashed them. When I find a BMW or Audi I leave a business card that says "Ha Ha Ha Ha, you curbed your rims!"

Hahahaha. It ALWAYS happens within a few weeks of having them refurbed/installed

same happened to me, 2 days after getting new wheels

Seems like it happens to everyone at the worst time. I never rub curbs and rubbed very lightly in the first 2 days of having my rims. Parked too close to a curb and rubbed front wheel very lightly, just some paint is missing, no damage to the rim though, still sad.

Ouch... Hit a pothole once, and had similar damage. Took it to a reputable tire shop who specializes in curb/rash damage. They did a phenomenal job. Cost was $125.00. Good luck OP.
