Post Finally Active Autowerke Software+Exhaust+BOV

yes the active autowerke bov might be old news but they have now updated their site and have the 335i exhaust and software up. i thought it was a flash but they did make it a piggy back like the procede. unlinke the procede however, currently the aa does come with an activation switch for map switching. waiting to see vides on exhaust, full setups, and expecially the dynos. happy tuning.

Hmmm... It does say "Race - 380hp", but its under "optional". So, what is the 'non-race' improvement? for 93 octane?

Very nice! I would definitely like to see some dyno's (i'm interested if those #'s are whp/tq or crank hp/tq), and some better videos of the exhaust.

Seems like the second best option to a procede. the exhaust looks nice however I want to see the dyno sheet and also if that 380 hp is to the wheels or crank and if its with the exhaust or not.

Why are all the vendors getting the old XEDEs?

Aren't they concerned that Vishnu dumped the XEDE because of its inferior-ness?

It's BHP to the crank, not the wheels; the only thing that surprises me is the TQ...385 lb.-ft. TQ to the crank? That seems kind of low. When Shiv installed my XEDE, my car dyno'd at 322WHP (~ 379BHP) and 378 lb.-ft. RWTQ (~ 445 lb/-ft. TQ to the crank); my dyno numbers were similar to all the other XEDE beta testers. So, how come AA only got 385 lb.-ft TQ with their XEDE s/w tweaking? Did they lower the TQ on purpose in response to the possible TQ overload to the tranny issue?

I noticed that too probably helps with throwing codes too. Oh well I'll take my procede anyday.

When I talked to Omar a few weeks ago, he said they were picking up 70+ to the rear wheels...going from 240 something to 313.

I'd like to see the rear wheel output too. 240 seems low for a baseline, but a gain of 70hp over stock is pretty impressive. I wonder if that is with the exhaust?

From their site:

"By being in the forefront on tuning this 335i, Active Autowerke with the capabilities of delivering a proven product that is backed with all the tech support helps to alleviate any concerns about what a true performance upgrade should be for this new BMW"

They claim to be at the forefront on tuning the 335i? Amazing!

If you were paying attention, it was pointed out that Vishnu lost their exclusive distribution rights for the XEDE in the US (or North America?). And I wouldn't exactly say it's inferior...
