Dreams Beds

We're in the market for a new bed and, having had the missus searching for ages for one, finally found one at Dreams. Before you start recommending other places (admittedly being helpful

), the bed we're (read: she's) after is very specific, hence taking ages to find one. Doubtful we'll find a similar one elsewhere.

Typically it's not in the sale

Anyone know how to get a discount on one (I've searched for the usual online discount codes). Surely someone knows someone linked to them

. I'm not after 50% off (but would be nice) but a token discount would be very much appreciated

She didn't originally want a divan but struggled to get anything else that suited. We can't have a headboard as our new bedroom has a matching one (to the wardrobes) fitted to the wall. Only a standard double will fit as the room is long (the length of the house) but thin. Oh, didn't want wheels, this one had smart little 'feet'. Not bothered about draws but think having two would be wise.

Have you tried asking. Don't let them know your choices are limited.

Give me 20% and I'll take it now, don't and I'll go elsewhere. type of thing.

Worse case you buy it out of another dreams or online. email them if you don't like haggling.

I'll give that a whirl and see what happens. Can't make up my mind whether they're open to negotiation though; something tells me no but we'll see.

Take your wife into the store, undress then start cavorting on the bed you have your eye on. When they ask you to leave say, do us that bed for £xx.xx then we will leave.

are you looking for brand new? or will ex-display do? Do you have a Dreams branch which has a clearance section? Bought a mattress last year which was originally £1600....got it for £950
