New look for my Donkey Diesel pipe!!!

hi guys

so as i recently posted was looking for someone to weld me a new tip on the rear of my 320d SE, having taken my car to a few of the so called "specialist" exhaust places only to be told you cannot weld mild steel to stainless but we can do a good price on a backbox!!! as numerous people on here told me that this was a load of rubbish I got a friend of mine who works at a scrap yard to weld for me for £20 and I love the new look (and overall cost ha ha)

cheers for all your help guys plenty more questions to come im sure

I know this may seem like a stupid comment but here it goes. In the pic it looks like the right hand pipe is almost touching the bumper. Will the heat not melt it or will it not get that hot?

Looks good. Only way to get the angle better is to make a custom back pipe.

But for £20 you can't complain really!

Looks better , but the N/S pipe should have been a tad shorter.

Looks much better than standard.

I'm off to get my Dimisa tips welded on mine at the weekend. You can't beat some nice shinny tail pipes!

Hi pal

no not a stupid comment really, picture doesnt really show but there is a gap of about 1cm so the pipe doesnt vibrate on the bumper as for the heat shouldnt really effect bumper laquer and paint

Hi guys cheers for your comments, Yes probably would have been better with the custom exhaust but explored a few other options cheaper as I was only looking to tidy the back end up no perforance gains or noise increase so buying the tips for £30 and fitting for £20 it ticked all the boxes.

below is the same tips I bought 3" straight cut the good thing with these is when you cut the existing pipe the s/s tip pipe is smaller and just slides inside this comes in handy with the postion of the hanger etc.

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/3-Sports-E...item4aa3cdbab1

I was going to get the staggered one but too tricky to work out the stagger of the pipes on the picture/description to the curve of the bumper
