On the look out for some new tyres.

Was going to go with vredestein ultrac sessanta which I have had on a previous car and rated but then noticed the Falken F453's which would save me over £100 when replacing all 4.

Anyone had any experience with them in particular or could recommend any others around similar price bracket?

fitted these on my 330d to replace run flats. so far so good. less road noise, more comfy ride and grip is good in wet and dry.

Had the 452 which were great in the dry, not so good in the wet when pushing it a bit

Try the Kuhmo kh31, much better in the wet i've found.

Have the Vreds gone up in price?

When I got mine they were £5-10 more each than the 452s.

I'm running on hankooks and I'm impresst. Even my missis was impresst, because she was complaining about Bridgestone and after Pirelli tyres in wet, but with hankook no complain so far.
Try event tyres. I think they got kumho in your size. My impression with falkens on Mazda wasn't good. But that's FWD. on RWD they probably better.

Replaced my RFT for the 453 and wouldn't complain. Smooth in dry and works as good in the wet, plus I drive my cars how they should be driven.

I've got 453's on the rear and impressed so far, plenty of grip although I am running 275's!

Always had Falkens and always been happy with them, often think I need to try something else to see how others compare....

In the sizes I'm looking at Falkens came out at £520 and the Vreds just over £620 on Camskill.

Cheers, will price up the Hankooks and looks at event tyres. I hadn't tried there.

What width are your rears Greg? I'm going to be running 9.5 inch.

The wear on my falkens was appalling.

Currently running Avon zz3 which are much better, will try the vreds next time...

Looks good, looks fatter than Michellins.
Quiete and comfy.
Superb grip even when it was 0C! Barely any wheel spin.

Not sure how long they would last though. Sold car before I tested that out. Bargain!

I put vreds on my new rims yesterday!

I. Love them over my Michelin ps3 tyres!!!! I can't comment n performance yet as they need to be scrubbed in first... But road noise, and comfort is crazy. I am using 19s now and they handle all road imperfections 100x better than the supposedly awesome Michelin ps3 tyres on my 18" mv3s!!!!

I've got a full set of Goodyear Eagle F1 A2s sitting in the kitchen ready to go on next week when my wheels get refurbed.

Once on I will give my opinion.

The rubber feels very soft and very sticky.

Cost me just over £700 for 19" standard sizes delivered from Camskill.

Just a short hijack any ideas how they compare to 452s asking as when queried local shop they said only option is 453s on front and 452s rear due to the sizes on a 135i

Now always been on school of thought that all tyres shoudl be same any ideas if thsi would unsettle the grip a lot

What he means is he has a set of 452s he needs to sell.

What size is it on the rear?

Just check one of the big online sellers and see if the size is available.

Why do people have the " Crem Dala Crem " so called must have 6 pot only BMW'S , then put only average tyres on them !!!!

i replaced 452s with 453s. from what i've experienced the 453s are better, so for the minimal price difference i wouldn't bother with a 452. what size does he say is unavailable? 453 are available in correct bmw sizes (452 were not always)
