I've seen this system before, it works on the reflection of the flash.
Would be good for someone to test it out in the harbour tunnel |

Hey ink, this is a universal product, doesn't look like it has a very good rating but. http://www.buyradardetectors.com/pro...tostopper.aspx Apparently this doesn't work, you could try the plate cover |

I know there are big fines ($1000+) for having radar detectors in NSW but not sure about having anything on your license plate. As long as it doesn't obscure it I would assume.
Years back there were some reflective covers you could buy but I assume they were banned. This system is not really a cover and still looks OEM. |

Don't really think it will work, the new laser speed cameras (standard in WA) uses an infer-red flash, I believe those cover/sticker things are more for the old supernovas with the traditional flashes.
Also radar detectors are legal in WA (only state left), but you can get stealth radar detectors to avoid getting picked up by radar detector detectors (no I didn't make that up) which eastern state police uses. But to truly 'defeat' the new laser speed cameras, you need a combination of radar detector and some kind of laser jammer. I've been running a V1 radar detector (not stealth, so not recommended for people over east) for years now, saved me a couple of times (including a big one ), however it does nothing the camera is setup to snap a shot from behind. |

There was a mythbusters episode a while ago that tested a heap of these type products and none of them worked. Even plates that looked blurred in person still showed on cameras.

And I read before that the radar jammer seems a more effective device so that you have enough time to slow down before the camera catches you? Also, is radar jammer legal here in WA? Thanks. |
