Rob - How will this stack up to the current piggy-back tunes out there in terms of real numbers? A few of us on here are FBO + meth (and the kitchen sink)...

Are you guys looking at a Race flash capability or more of a "one size fits all" deal for the n55 motor?
The initial release will be for pump gas and Stage 1, however we will be working on the following stages as well as race mapping. Our support will be similar to the N54 where we are constantly building and releasing more support including ATR and ATP.

Cheers,
Rob

if that is the case then I think Cobb will be the number choice... I know it will be for me if they ll support race gas etc..

Not initially. We are working on the F30, but it's a bit different.

Not initially. The FX0 series have a newer set of ECUs that we are working on now.

You can start with ease of use in switching between factory and tune.

it won't be hugely different, from a user experience side, than the accessports on other cars. take a look at the subaru guys for instance.

plug it into the obd2 port, select a map, tell it to send it, kick back for a little while.

done.

going in for service? divorce the ap beforehand if you're paranoid. plug in, tell it to go back to stock, watch some cartoons, and done. I'm not sure how long the process takes on bmw's, but it was under 15 minutes for the initial pairing (and subsequent divorce), and almost instant for map switching. my dinan flash took all of a half hour, to give you an idea of how long the payload takes.
