Been Driving one of these today

Just got back from Silverstone after my Nissan GT-R Trackday and my god what a Car the Acceleration is out of this world, Brakes unbelievable and Road Holding like being on rails.
Nissan Cocked up on there ordering process but if today is anything to go on they certainly are giving customers better Service than any other major motor manufacturer. The Day was divided into two sessions 20 Customers for the Morning 20 for the afternoon the 20 were then split into groups of 5 with four different events planned for each session 5 GTRs to go round the circuit (Small National Circuit) with no holding back Then 3 GTRs for Short slalom circuit then moved onto a timed circuit with 3 Different GTRs and finally 2 350Zs for some Serious Drifting and as well as feeding as all they even gave as one of these to bring Home

From the sessions you listed, it sounds like you should have had a good day.

Great skid-lid too.

I saw the GTR sign up on the r'bout by the main entrance this afternoon (I was dropping a pile of bits into Force India), and wondered what was happening...now I know!

That's the first pic I've seen where it looks nice, always thought it's an ugly beast up to now.

Black hides the lines, just like on an E60

Glad you had fun!

The GTR is an evil looking car especially in black Love it!

What is it like to drive? Stupidly quick? Or really fast but doesn't feel it? Is it a loud car? Are they all these Clutchless manual 'boxes or can you buy a manual?

Love the helmet, I want one for trackdays ... would look a bit silly in a 30 years old MG though

Sorry Steve
I think you did the right thing cancelling and like you I did consider doing the same after the Nissans pre-order balls up (glad I didn’t)
Just as a consolation there market department is still Crap “Guy rang up to ask if he could take his partner to the Track Day Told no partners/spectators would be allowed in, cancelled his order 3 Days before event random emails & phone calls to tell people the could bring 1 Guest for 106 euro’s” (Don’t get to go in the Cars thou)

Onboard Cameras for most of the events struggling to get media player to recognise the format but I'll try to sort something out for you (the Instructors Race is fantastic)

Sounds awesome but not in the same class as something like a TVR
Very difficult to say which the best Colour is (everyone’s opinion is different anyway)
The Black like most Black Cars looks great when clean but just doesn’t stay clean long enough and as they had all the colours on show at Silverstone there was a lot of people changing there minds.
Car it’s self can be quite ugly from certain angles but as the day went on the looks seem to be improving. (Or is my judgement being clouded by the performance)
When you look at the price Tag and also consider things like yesterdays event it is the best value car purchase I've ever made (Still haven't received my Porsche Trackday invite and I've been waiting over 8 Months)
