So the benefits of the LSD are obvious when it comes to the track, but what do you guys think about it for just regular daily driving with a couple spirited runs here and there, some quick turns for the hell of it. Will I really reap the benefits of an LSD?

Did anyone have the LSD during winter and find it beneficial in snowy / low traction conditions?

Considering this as my next mod, but not sure if I will reap the benefits. I went on a bit of a spin with my buddy the other day to hear his exhaust and I was noticing my traction light going crazzzzy if taking left turns in 2nd gear and not feathering the throttle and I also noticed myself power sliding a bit through the corners, wasn't happy with the way the car felt.

An LSD is absolutely essential if you are seriously modded and put down power..I can tell u how many times I have almost lost it. on a turn when i slam down on the gas..

Yeah, my buddy took off a bit ahead of me so my natural reaction was to give my car some gas and make the left quickly to keep following and not get stuck at a red light, but as I gave the gas I saw my traction light go nuts and suddenly my tail end was out and I had to quickly bring the car back under control, I was surprised as it didn't even seem like a hard corner... going to upgrade the tires for sure and see how much of a diff it makes.

Going to take a day or two to think about the LSD.... I think I need to give it priority over some cosmetics.

Absolutely..especially w ur mods. im worst b/c i drive w the traction control off b/c i wanna maxmize the power than goes down..n it sucks b/c i cant get on it w any confidence..i even know someone who wrecked out doing just that..ur driving experience will be transformed w an LSD.

I am not doing quaife or wavetrac..i have an OS Giken TCD..its clutch type and gives u 100% lock up..just waiting to put it in.

Pretty brave to drive with it all the way off! I just hit the button once and turn it off "half way" except when doing a straight ahead launch.. then I turn it right off.

I will have to look into the Giken LSD, never considered it as an option, but will look into it to learn more about it, thanks for letting me know about it.

If you are making serious power and want to drive the car the way it was meant to w the TC off ..n put down all the power u can..its not a want..its a NEED..

Not a wavetrac..they run a clutch type like the OSG.

LOL yeah, I told myself I'm done and I made that whole post about setting my deadline... let's just say my deadline passed and I'm t rying to buy an LSD, m3 subframe bushings and I'm VERY close to pulling the trigger on the perf exhaust.... this is becoming an addiction. Hopefully I will stop after those 3 things though.

Get some Michelin pilot super sport. Amazing traction, upgraded from toyo t1r and they are much better.

I have begun the process got a bunch of stuff installed... wheels and exhaust come in tommorow... picking up brakes and tires from buffalo next week, so should be ready by next weekend.

And yeah, the whole idea of buying myself out of the addiction is crazy LOL, i just bought my way deeper into my problems.

I think it's definately worth it. I drove a N52 with LSD and it even feels faster than a N54 w/o LSD.

IMO I make serious power (still holding the official record for the fastest Vert on 1/4 mile with sh!ty 60") and drive it with TC off during summer time. Also don't see how you're able to drive the car they way it was meant to be on the daily bases unless you're on the course track. Therefore IMHO it's a want MOD vs a NEED.

Just curious What's your 1/4 mile time?

And I guess it is a WANT mod, I obvisouly don't NEED it for daily purposes.
