I put the winter shoes on this past weekend. Nice and soft again, so I can rip thru the corners (sans ice, of course).
I kept the stock Summer Potenza Runflats when I got the car, so for me, it's temperature thing... 15* or higher ... the Potenzas are fine 10*-15* ... start to feel them hardening 5*-10* ... starting to get dangerous, car feels like crap 5* or less ... it's like driving on four hockey pucks Can't wait to throw more $$$ into better summers and new rims. The Dunlop Wintersport M3 are great runflats. (Only ones I've tried tho.) Even at 17", my M5 reps which are on the winters are great looking rims. Below are some pics from last winter. (Yes, I've long since removed the stealer plate wrappers!) H
