335i SE Touring

Hello all,

Has anyone been to see this car:

http://www.hamptonautomotive.co.uk/u...01305500773226

I was initially put off by the Pan roof but I'm thinking it may be worth a punt. I assume the lack of I-Drive may be an issue for some and hence why it's hanging around ? Mileage looks reasonable and I reckon with an Alpina lip and de-chrome it will look quite nice. Going to see if I can view it during the week sometime.

Cheers.

No but waiting on a call back about it...

It was advertised a couple of weeks ago then dropped off the autotrader before I had chance to phone (I need to change to a touring). I presume someone wanted it but couldn't get credit as that is normally why cars come back onto the market.

Left a couple of messages when I saw it again this morning. Would have liked to see it today as I am local to it, but no call back yet.

Let us know how you get on. I'm not 100% on the car but would be interested to hear your thoughts if you decide not to proceed with it.

Cheers.

Interesting, when the day comes that I have to sell mine for something more suitable for a family this would be ideal!

It would make a great base car....

So whoever buys it make themselves known as I might be intouch in a couple of years!!

Heard back from them: The car is in prep at the moment and ready to view tomorrow.

I love my pan roof. Once of the reasons i bought the car!

If it goes wrong i'm reasonably confident i know how to disable the rear section from lifting and causing damage, but if you use it and maintain it there should be no issue.

I would look for a car with a panoramic roof. M sports in particular have a very dark interior.

A bloke from Hull apparently was viewing it yesterday morning. Probably him. Don't think he's on here.

Will keep a beady out on PH for a post.

I have put down a deposit on this car. I was told that someone from Hull was going to view it yesterday morning and so I thought I'd missed out. So I gave them a call late morning to confirm whether it had been sold, it hadn't. The Hull chap was a no show so I convinced my boss to give me the afternoon off and drove 3 hrs to view it. Apparently after receiving loads of calls over it, I was the first person to view it.

It's not perfect, but I think it was reasonably priced and I got a decent deal. There are a couple of issues that need sorting out by the dealer but I'm hoping to pick it up next weekend

Yep - well done, was quite tempted myself. I think the black on black on black with the SE trim and ellipsoids look very distinctive - doubt there's another like it. Lack of iDrive might bother some but it's a pretty dated system on an '06 and one less thing to go wrong.

Good luck with it!
