Are your engine temps this low?

So I was driving for like 4-5 hours and the engine wouldn't get warmer than this. It was only 9 degrees outside but it my other cars, even when it is this cold the engine temp would usually get to were it normally is supposed to be. Is this normal? I just have a DCI in right now.

Does that car stay at that temperature if you step on it (get the turbo spooled up) too?

Nothing wrong with that. I would rather run 195* oil temp as indicated by your gauge than 250* temps.

I bet a lot of people wish they were running at those temps. You'll see that rise as you put a tune on it.

Normal for Chicago in the winter. This will be my second winter here with this car and its absolutely normal. My 10 year old AUDI A4 1.8T also runs about the same oil temp range during the winter.

Mine constantly stays at that temperature. Prolly because of my UR CAI and the 25 degree weather.

My 08 e90 335i runs around 190-200, while my 07 e92 335i sits around 250. What gives?

EDIT: just realized my e90 and e92 gauges aren't identical, and are both at the same temp.

I see in the picture that the OP is running top-most gear at a low rpm. I'd suggest selecting a lower gear to increase the engine rpm in hopes of raising the oil temp. I'd suggest an oil temp target greater than 212 degrees F to allow moisture in the oil to evaporate.
