Go for it man! Post pictures when you're done.

I like the idea of having the brightest interior lighting possible, especially with 20% tinted windows. If I ever get pulled over, I want that interior to be lit up like a christmas tree. Just one tint removal/retint would probably equate to the price of these LED's, so I figure that is one benefit of having it super bright. Not to mention, my newly dyed black headliner makes the interior very dark at night, so nice, pure bright lighting in the interior will definitely help things out.

You can DEFINITELY swap out the bulbs you want and leave the rest along. I (and mostly other people) just went all out for full LEDs.

Hey Shinchan,

Do you know if the maplights Kev posted in the first post work without any engine-on problems?

Trying to get the maplights ordered before the afternoon so hopefully they'll ship out before the weekend.

Would you recommend getting these canbus enabled maplights? How were they? I just don't want any errors.

sorry.. i don't know what canbus enable means.

but.. as far as map light goes.. any bulb will work. You will never get any bulb out coz the car is not monitoring for bulb out, it somehow is watching for current draw...

The trick is that finding the right bulb that will work when the engine is on.

99% of the LED bulb don't work when the engine is on...

Why do you want your car to be so bright inside ? Looks like a football stadium in there.

Sorry, I just meant the one with the resistor. I know that the situation is an engine-on deal. I had another set of led's and they had the engine-on problem.

How were the ones that you found to work with the engine on? Was it really dim? I just want the maplights to work with the engine on.

What solution has Kev had? Those REVO bulbs from Japan? I saw that those were expensive, but that doesn't really concern me if they work.

pic are my of E92 and X5....

KEV's solution for map are the same one i used under the door. They don't work for map.. but perfect for under door or under dash.

Now, the one that i post for map light works.. because I have them in my car... I am too tire to take a pic of them... prob will take a pic of them next time..... they are fairly cheap....

Did you try flipping the bulb around to reverse the polarity? Check the fuse if anything since they tend to blow when you installing a new bulb in the glove/interior trunk lighting

I'm with you on that. So for sedan that would be?:
- Dome (Front & Rear = 2 total)
- Footwell (Fronts & Rears = 4 total)
- Puddle (1 each door = 4 total)

Am I correct?
