DME shot...

I was told by BMW my DME was shot.

Car starting surging wouldn\'t start etc..

Anyway, they want 1500 for part 500 for labor.

Online, I can get part for 977.00...is install simple plug and play...??

no, the DME will need to be programmed for your car. At the very least, you can save $523. Best of luck.

On getbmwparts it says that it comes "programmed"

What caused the DME to fail? Hopefully not during a reflash...
