Shaved the 335XI off my carm what do ya'll think?

Not a big fan of the chrome 335Xi attached to my trunk, so I decided to de-badge my car. I obviously kept the emblem just to put back on incase of a sale or something. Im bored and want to post something LOL...!

First thing I did when I got home. Debadged the model and all the drive badges. It's just cleaner IMO.

Isn't this a little dangerous though? Since the car is AWD if your car is ever towed they need to make sure to use dollies or a flatbed. If you have no identifying badges they may just hook and go and then your TC is toast.

Good point...............not every tow guy would even think about looking to see if it is AWD

True that many may not look but if you have no badges they can claim they had no way of knowing and you are SOL. If you have the badges you can at least get them to cover repairs.

I'd be surprised if a tow guy even knew that xi meant AWD. At least around here in the Midwest, where BMWs are "fancy" and everybody wants twice as much to do things like mount and balance tires because your car is "exotic." sorry..small rant. But yeah, looks clean, op.

I did this as well and prefer the debadged look.

OP look into doing 3.5" dimisa exhaust tips. This plus a debadge gives the back end of the car a much more aggressive and aesthetically pleasing appearance.

+1 I'm not taking mine off for this reason. Without it they will have no idea that it is awd. They call in the model to their headquarters to see if it is rwd, fwd, awd so I'm keeping mine on

That's why I love my '09 - xdrive badge is on the side, so I could still debadge the rear.

I prefer the XI badge on the rear over the xDrive logos on the sides. Makes the fenders look too busy on our small cars..When I get a chance I plan on removing my xDrive logos and rebadge the rear with the 335 XI logo. To the OP, looks good!

I took mines off also. Looks much cleaner imo. I wouldn't worry about the tow truck guy. In order to tow your car they have to put the car in neutral first cause even if it wasn't awd it's still rear wheel drive and the wheels would be locked from the rear. on xi model cars it indicates the awd caution sticker on the driver door on the proper way to tow it. So it's all good I hope haha.
