Reading the stock map took about an hour last night. E-mailed it to AA this morning, and had it back a couple hours later. Writing the new map tonight took maybe 20 minutes. I'm VERY happy with the tune.

Do you think getting an external battery charger/maintainer is necessary?

I always suggest it with a battery over 3 years old or one that has had a bad history (Been drained before, doesnt hold a long charge etc).

If you do decide to go without a charger please drive the car for a good amount of time before writing the files to ensure a charged battery.

DO NOT READ AND WRITE BACK TO BACK WITHOUT A CHARGER!

I believe i read in different places that i should clear any adaptations for my car before i reflash it with the tune (or does clearing the adaptations before or after the uploading of the tune really matter). do you know how to go about doing this?

No clue how to clear adaptations, but my car is behaving great without having done it prior to installing the new map. And it's supposed to take a couple hundred miles to fully adjust. Should be even more fun once it's all settled!

Clearing adaptions requires a tool such as a autologic scan tool. Its not really required as the ecu usually clears adaptions over a few hundred miles anyway.

Got mine flashed today. So far so good, not a crazy difference by any stretch of the imagination though. Only driven it about 50 miles, so we'll see if it will adapt more over the coming days.

Apart from AA sending me a bad file accidentally (sh*t happens) which made my car not start, everything went incredibly smooth. Zak and Andrew answer emails extremely quick, and they get the tuned file back to you fast.

Definitely recommended. Thanks AA!
