Another rare and exotic BMW spotted...

A buddy of mine spotted this one in north-central Missouri last week. I think the 2.0 was the special edition that year, pretty rare and probably quite valuable.

Interesting. I wonder why anyone would do that, and I'm not asking that in a rhetorical/condescending manner.... I just don't get it. Do they want to pass it off as a BMW? Is it just a funny ha-ha joke? Did someone sell it to them under the guise of it being a BMW?

I'm sure there's a story behind every one of these. I'm curious to know what they are, each and every one of them....

that dent brings it down from $100k, to about $70k.
it somehow works on that trunk. debadge the 2.0 and bam, it's a winner.

they need to have a "confessions of a fake badges bmw" forum. i really would like to know the story behind these also. i HOPE it has a story. whether it be for pure deception, or for laughs, a story is a story.

The people who put a Roundel on their car are the same ass-wipes who steal them and leave screwdriver scratches on your hood and decklid. Get it?

Does anyone know who this is? I would be willing to pay top dollar for such a rare and dent-free specimen.
