Up and Down West Coast Trip with Longtran, evo119, dr.phuOnger? and Minipuck V 2.0

http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=161527 http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=161040 We started off the trip in San Francisco. We gased up and headed over to the Bay Bridge. It was pitch black by the time we hit the Oregon border and when we arrived at Portland the sun began to come out. At this point, all three drivers were pissed tired. evo119 and dr.phuOnger? had both taken a 5 hour energy boost. longtran was running on red bull and pumpkin seeds. We pressed onto Seattle and I took a few rolling shots since the freeway was pretty open at 6 am on Saturday morning. |

Around 9:45 am Saturday morning, we finally arrived at the Canadian border. It took about 15 minutes to get across with some pretty standard questions like," what the faak are you doing in Canada, eh?" "Car meet." Once we crossed it was like a whole new world. The road signs were in km and the traffic things were a little wacky. But we finally made it to Vancouver. We were winging the trip so, we didn't really have a hotel to stay at. We found one in downtown but the room wasn't ready. We had time to kill, so we headed to Chinatown which our tour guide evo119 said was a mere six blocks away. He miscounted and it turned out to be quite farther than 6 blocks from the hotel. We finally reached Chinatown, but we couldn't make out the words above the arch. Little did we know that the arch said in Chinese, welcome to "crack whore city." We continued into uncharted land where alleys were filled with hookers and people shooting up crack. In the midst of all this was a Yip Family Reunion where everyone was required to wear a red construction hat. We made it through the madness to the Dr Sun garden. By this time, the Angry Panda was dizzy from lack of real food for the last 16 hours. We had dim sum and bought some illegal fruit and headed back. We still had time to kill so we stop by the harbor. It was a beautiful day.

We went back to hotel and the room still wasn't ready. The food in Chinatown Vancouver wasn't so good and with time to kill we hung out at the cafe in the hotel lobby. dr.phuOnger? by this time had not slept for more than 24 hours and he was noticablely a little tired. We ordered some food, while evo119 ordered a mojito to combat the two 5 hours energy shots he had taken on the way up. I myself had some bbq pork burger sliders that were really good. The drink soon took effect as we rode a elevator with this drunkard attempting to get us up to our room. At this point, everybody passed out within a matter of 2 minutes except dr.phuOnger? who was trying to get us communication without the outside world through the internet since the trip was consists of cheapskates who refused to call with roaming charges. After a brief but much needed rest, we headed out to meet with E90power AKA Webbie AKA Webb AKA Websta, our Canuck Eh? tour guide for the night. After meeting up with Webbie, he took us to a awesome carwash place. We had killed many generations of bugs while on our trip up. The carwash washed off all the bugs and cleaned the rims really well. Afterwards, we attempted to go to BC Sushi, but we simply could not find any parking. We then decided to get away from everyone watching the fireworks and headed to the night market to grab some more food. This Angry Panda was so hungry that he only took one shot and was busy stuffing his face for the rest of the night. Afterwards, we headed to Granville Island for a photoshoot while making a pit stop at Shell. But BLASTED! this Angry Panda had drunk too much and had to find a washroom (thats what a restroom is called in Canada Eh?). longtran and I decided to call it a night while evo119 and dr.phuOnger? decided to paint the town. The next morning we arrived at Queen Elizabeth Park for the meet.

Vancouver is full of funny perverts. One of them showed up at the meet. So we met at Queen Elizabeth Park with some of the E90post Vancouver people. We were warmly greeted by a old hag with a backpack an attitude. Apparently she was compensating for her missing mangina and proceded to harass us about parking in the lot. The lot was wide open with plenty of spaces. We weren't planning to stay long, but apparently the parking fees keeps her overdue ovaries from expiring. That hag was such a distraction I couldn't get really good pictures of ricky12345678910's sick as car with BBS DBK RE and 3d diffuser. We then decided to move to some place else where we wouldn't be harassed as much and the local guys decided to make a quick drive to Richmond and faakin eh it was a quick drive. Apparently speed signs are read not in kmh but mph to these guys. After running about 50 yellow lights and speeding down city streets at 80 mph we reached another parking lot that was wide open.

After snapping a few shots, we walked across the street to grab some grub. We pigged out and got some instructions on the best way to leave town. We walked back to the lot and longtran did a live demo on how to install M3 painted side reflectors. The crowd went wild. By then, we had to say goodbye and make our way south back to the states. evo119 and dr.phuOnger? headed straight back to Cali while I apparently hitched a ride with a F1 driver back to Seattle and Portland.
It was a fun trip filled with many memories and funny stories. Big thanks to Webbie and the Vancouver peeps for bringing us around for the day and half when we were there. Sorry to the Seattle peeps that we cancelled the meet but your state has way too many cops. Oregon people, which I believe now to be mostly tree elves, you got some sick bridges and landscapes for some amazing photoshoots. All the cities I went to, (maybe cause we were always in downtown) reminded me of San Francisco. Next time we visit, we are flying for sure. Last edited by Minipuck V 2.0; 08-05-2008 at 11:47 PM.. |
