you'll get better dimsum at the other places listed.
Whats wrong with it catering to non-asians tourists? Seems pretty smart to me. It was good food to me, but hey im a non-asian, lol

鼎泰豐小籠包 FTMFW!!!!! But it's located in Taipei.. Incase you guys don't know and want to try it out! They come to NY every year for their food show (in the Flushing Sheraton) I think it's once an yr... been there twice in NY and you MUST reserve weeks ahead. I still like joe shanghai's crab dumplings better than 鼎泰豐... I think 鼎泰豐 is WAY over rated... lots of Japanese people's favorite when they visit taiwan. If you want to try out 鼎泰豐 in NY give Sheraton a call and reserve ! I think the shows only for couple of days.. maybe 1 or 2 days I am not sure.

Or for a closer location you can fly to Arcadia, California where they have a restaurant I go to their Flushing Sheraton exhibition every year too! I prefer their dumplings over Joe's Shanghai's, but their food is always very expensive (for Chinese food).

been there couple of times at their Arcadia restaurant, but was below average (dry, soup doesnt have flavor...etc) . Their taiwan branch is okay.....the best I had was in Shanghai!!
