Retrofitting an m3 steering wheel onto my 335i
I recently acquired an m3 steering wheel, and am trying to retrofit it to my 2007 pre-lci 335i. My car has SSG paddle shifters, the pull to shift up and push to shift down kind.
I read that my old shifters will not fit into the m3 ones, so I'm wondering on which new ones to buy, since my new m3 wheel didn't include any paddle shifters. I'm looking to do the least amount of wiring modification, so any direct plug and play will suffice. Can someone point me in the right direction? Thanks! Sorry if I posted this in the wrong section. |

I installed an m3 wheel with m3 paddles on my 335 and it was plug and play. I don't think you can fit ssg paddles on the m3 wheel since the cutouts are a different shape.. I could be wrong..

I believe with your model year, the M3 paddle shifters should be plug and play.
