Just wanted to check car is coming up 3000 miles to rear brakes work.

Had a look at them and the pads are nearly gone.

Rang local dealer and parts only pads , sensor and clips £110.

For just a pair of small rear pads and two clips and sensor I mean WTF its not a M3 or M6 its a 320D.

Any ideas where its safest to source replacement. Discs seem ok and rears anyway tend to be now 2 pads to 1 disc so I'm within this.

I got some pagid rear pads and a new wear sensor (recommended even if you haven't worn down to it) for my 335i for £41 from eurocarparts.com

Why is that so surprising? Forget about deals. If you do a search, brake pads go for $70-90 USD and sensor could be anywhere from $14-20. If you go to the dealer, you're likely going to pay the maximum amount or somewhere near that price which with your quote, you are (assuming currency conversions).

Another vote for Euro Car Parts - but phone them, don't use the website. Their instore database is much more accurate than the web one, I've heard a lot of reports of people getting the wrong parts after ordering online.

Cool they are only few miles from my house will call them and see also waiting for price from my indie with weather being as it is if not to much of a gap betweren the two might get him to do it

Thanks just having a look any brands recommended as only one I recognise is Pagid but even then they give two options depending on disc diameter.

Better get the tape measure but either way big price difference Shame they dont sell the clips

I did my rear brakes over Xmas with Pagid pads from ECP and a sensor from ebay.
Easy DIY for those competent.
Remove spring.
Pop the plastic ends off the slider covers.
7mm Allen key is needed to undo the caliper sliders.
(In this case there is no need to unbolt the caliper carrier from the hub.)
I gently release the bleed nipple (? 9mm ring spanner I think) as I push the piston back in to prevent old mucky fluid going back up the lines and allows the piston to move with little resistance.
Put a tight fitting tube onto the nipple first to catch the fluid and stop air getting in.
The sensor connection is behind the RH wheel arch liner. The liner is pliable and comes out easily once the plastic nuts (? 10mm socket) are removed.
There is a tiny thin metal clip which holds the sensor into a cutout in the pad. A new clip should come with the new sensor. Take a photo of the old one to remind you how it goes back together.
Put some anti-squeal on the pad/caliper & pad/piston contact points.
Put it all back together.
Others may do it differently - your choice

I believe carparts4less.co.uk is the same company as ECP. ECP have special offers, discount codes etc. CP4L just have consistent low price.
