Hmm... Nice! Now, by 249hp do you mean ps? 250 to the wheels is pretty damn good even if the dyno is generous.

249 is wheel horsepower. It’s totally different car!
This guy is really professional, not like backyard Wintertuning. He has showroom with M1, M3s, 2002 Tis and race prepared cars. I drove 700 km home from Freudenberg Germany and the fuel consumption was 9.2 l/km (21.6 MPG US).

what other mods do you have? how did you put 249 to the wheels when those are crank numbers for a stock 330i?

Unfortunately I have the same HPFP as 335i but my car doesn’t overheat, I don’t have turbo lag and my car is much lighter.

Wow, very impressive results
A few questions: What octane were you running for the test? Are you 6 spd manual? Your complete mod list includes: remus exhaust, BMW Perf Intake, 3-stage 330 intake manifold swap |

If I get a chance I will time the acceleration. I can definitely feel the power increase, it’s a different car than before.

maybe.. but remember, he has an N53 motor, not an N52 like most of us, so I'd imagine there would have to be different fuel tuning. But at least we could get the changes in valve lift, which seems to be the item that most tuners have not really been able to change. |

Well, he said ealier that he drove from Freudenburg, Germany. I don't think we're getting the N53 in any country in North America. I am curious about the tuning applications. It seems there's more room in the DI cars. How does your conversion compare to a tuned 330i?

The n53 does not have valvetronic so no valvelift to play with through the software-it uses regular camshafts that cannot be modified by ecu to change lift. It uses a traditional throttle body to control air.
It is a direct inejcted engine which accoutns for its abilifty to produce more horsepower as you can be much more aggressive as the DI cools the combustion chamber so you can run higher compressions, more timing and leaner mixtures all creating more HP |

ahh, yes, that's right.. the N53 has dual Vanos, not valvetronic. So nothing for us North American folks. Move along, nothing to see here.

BTW: I live in Toronto but I work in Europe where the car is. It would be much cheaper to bring 328i from Canada but in 2008 I couldn’t get the M Sport package and the potential of N53 engine made me to get the car in Europe.
