Just wanted to say hello and see how you all are doing? I've been super busy with a new project so I haven't been around much. Seems that's somewhat of a common theme out here considering there are very few updated threads. Hope all is well...

Luckly I bought insurance last year when I bought it and it's only a 50 dollar deductible.

How far of a drop did that thing take? And how did it hit? Ive dropped mine before from a few feet and it landed on the shoulder, but thankfully I have an Otterbox case so all was good. Looks like angle of impact was down over by the antenna?

no 4s, waiting on 5...

landed flat on it's face on a tile floor, probably 4 feet up. phone still works, but I have insurance on it so they are giving me a phone for free, today even.

Hmm, Ill have to look into that for my next phone and for my TV. I just got a new 60" plasma and best buy wanted way too much and panasonic wanted even more.

You dont have to be a costco member to use that site for warranty or anything?

Actually, I got it for almost free. My old DLP, which I had purchased a warranty for 3 years ago was starting to have a slight issue on it. Like a light flickering but hardly noticeable unless I pointed it out, and even then it was spotty at worst, it would do it once for a few minutes then not for weeks.

So I called the warranty place, they called a tech, I described the problem to him, he called them back and then they called me and said they would not pay for the fix because it was more then the TV purchase price, so they gave me the original purchase price back on the TV. So after that, and after Best Buys sale, and free 3d glasses with the TV, which I then returned as well, Im doing REALLY good on the deal. My neighbor might by old tv since there really isnt a major problem with it and I showed him and he didnt see anything and I also told him I would warranty it for a year (minus the bulb it does need a new bulb). So after selling the TV, Ill be ahead on the plasma. Thats how I afforded that

Trust me, otherwise I wouldnt have just up and got a new tv for no reason.

It was like monopoly 'bank error in your favor' that got me into this set

Did the other side crack too Matt? Most people that I know that have phone insurance have never had to use it... good thing you had it. My friend had hers stolen and she had to pay full price for a new one.

unfortananty I dropped my phone a week ago too. I didnt have insurance. 35$

My message got cut off... But It cost $35 + 2hrs of time and I changed the glass myself. I also replaced the rear glass also.
