LCI hood on a pre-lci e90

if I put an LCI hood on my pre-lci e90 sedan, can I simply put the lci grills in the front bumper and be good to go? or is it more complicated than that?

you could, but you'll have a noticeable gap between the grille and hood.

No problem it's been done before, gap maybe a finger width.

any pics of it done? a finger width gap sounds like a decent size. not sure why there would be so much gap.

This, you have to have a new front bumper too, otherwise it looks really bad.
