N52 Recommended Maintenance
Hey guys, I have an E90 328i that just hit 80k miles and I just had a bunch of maintenance done over the weekend.
-Tranny Flush -Diff Flush -Oil Pan Gasket -Oil Filter Housing Gasket -Valve cover gasket -Oil Change I also had spark plugs and a radiator flush done not too long ago as well. I was just wondering what other stuff I should look at as I get closer to the 100k mark which will probably not be until early 2016.

I have a E92 328, 2009 that's at 64K miles. I would suggest the following items that you have not listed, as I have done around 60K miles just to be cautious and preventative: Brake fluid Power steering Inspect brakes and rotors Inspect common gasket failure points Replace/clean intake and cabin filter Check battery level In the coming time I plan on getting the waterpump/thermo out of the way and doing the filter housing gasket since it's showing slight signs of early failure. Based on my research, these can fail from anywhere in between 60K and 150K miles. I tend to have poor luck, so I want to get it out of the way sooner than later. Oh, yeah - check out the tensioner/pulley and belt for signs of damage or stress. The good thing about the N52 is that it is pretty solid and /mostly/ headache free. Goodluck.

Ditto on the power steering fluid; it should be done every 50k. |

Doing that after work today, just got the part - $13 bucks at my local indie.
Even a total idiot and noobie like me can handle this basic replacement. I hope!

As long as you have the dental pick gasket remover and some reverse torx sockets, you will be fine. A pig mat always helps too.

Ah, the pig mat, good heads up! That was not mentioned in the DIY and will save some mess if I fumble. Thanks!

Wow I didn't even know I made this thread lol
It was about $1200 for parts and labor but that was a discounted price. Oil pan gasket is an expensive one because it requires a lot of work to get the oil pan off. All the other stuff ranges from roughly $100-$300 per job.
