Slotted & Cross Drilled Rotors for e90 335

I was due to change my pads and rotors so started looking for a more performance orientated setup to OEM. On this side of the word the $tealership screws us on part prices.

I did not want to invest in a BBK, rather wanted to get some slotted & cross drilled rotors to suit the stock calipers and combine with a performance pad. Looked around at what was available and there isn't much with matching front & rear rotors, being somewhat anal about the look of the car meant it took a while to find a suitable solution.

Wound up that DBA (Disk Brakes Australia) had a performance front rotor available and would make a rear rotor as well, so I bit the bullet and bought a set of DBA42858XS and DBA42859XS series 4000 rotors from them. Also acquired a set of Hawk Performance street pads and some Stoptech S/S brake lines.

After installing the rotors, pads etc I painted the calipers to match.

Thus far I'm pretty happy with the improvement, probably not as good as a BBK but given the stock brakes are pretty good I can live with the slightly better performance, and much improved looks.

Crappy iPhone pics.

Looks great. Did you use the same paint on the "hub" as the caliper?

Thanks

its possible to get DBA rotors on this side of the ocean, but im guessing its quite a bit more costly than what op got them for.
