11.081s@123mph on 98 + OB

I had another couple of runs at the Test N Tune last night at the Willowbank Raceway with the best time a 11.081s@123mph running on 98 plus Nulon Pro Strength Octane Booster. The Willowbank crew had sprayed the start line with some traction compound just before the event had started and I was the 2nd car to run so I managed a 1.648s 60' on this run. As I had to wait 30mins and 2hrs for the next 2 runs the traction had gone and I could only manage 1.8s 60' times. Also, the temperature had dropped to 13C which is good for power but not good for traction. A high 10s run was my aim but just missed out.

Yes but it is annoying when you are just 0.081s off a 10s time. A 0.05s quicker 60' time would have got me there. I am going out to the roll racing at QR on Saturday for a bit of fun. Running E85 gives me higher speeds which would be handing for roll racing but we will see how the 98 + OB goes.

Roll racing at QR was a great success with the pit area completely full. I had 7 runs with 4 wins and could have had more but the temperature was 11C at 8pm and I was spinning the MTs in second gear so I gave it away. I got demolished by a Audi RS3. It was a night for all wheel drive vehicles and there were plenty there. AMG E63s, Audi R8, Audi RS3s, Nissan GTR R35, McLaren etc. It was very cold but entertaining night.

Dam 11c!

Would of made some power at that temperature.

What psi have you found the tyres work best?

At the drags, I run 16-17 psi because you are going straight and only turning off the track at a very low speed while at roll racing, I run 25 psi because you are still doing 80-100 kph going around the bend at the end of the straight at QR. Power should have been up at that temperature. The IAT was certainly down as can be seen in the datalog.
