Red Bull is upset now and start bullying on smaller teams....

http://planetf1.com/driver/18227/764...to-backmarkers

Quote:
Red Bull's advisor Helmut Marko says the team have sent their manager to Marussia and HRT after Sebastian Vettel's run-in with Narain Karthikeyan in Malaysia.

World Champion Vettel's frustrations got the better of him at Sepang after he finished P11 following a collision with the HRT driver.

The German showed his middle finger to Karthikeyan shortly after the incident and then called him a "cucumber" during an interview, adding "just like on the normal roads you have some idiots driving around, it seems like there is also one driving here".

The Indian driver was punished by the stewards for causing the collision, but that clearly wasn't enough for Red Bull as they asked their team manager to have a word with HRT and Marussia.

"We have told our team manager to talk to both Marussia and HRT about getting their drivers to pay more attention," Marko told Austria's Servus TV.

He added: "They drive in a different league, they are six or eight seconds slower, and so they need to watch out more.

"The 12 points which Vettel lost could be crucial in the World Championship."

The entire RB team is starting to annoy me, except for Webber, at least he is a straight shooter.

They are all fighting for position, if Vettel wants to get by, let him earn it.

IMO, FIA and FOM gave all the teams the equal rights to be on the field given they qualify within the 107%.

Some teams are faster and some teams are slower, but the faster team should also be responsible to overtake backmarkers safely even with blue flag rules.

You can't just ram the slower teams out of the way, the track can also be so wide and there's only one racing line. Backmarkers have been part of racing for decades and RBR....DEAL WITH IT!!!

Don't bitch and moan when your driver can't even overtake a backmarker without an incident.

This is an interesting turn of events.

On another topic; E90, you see the book Macca just came out with? I'm thinking of ordering one.

No one suspects there's connection between Scuderia Ferrari and Sauber F1....

Ferrari to launch the 'Ferrauber'
Quote:
Ferrari will be unveiling the front half of a F2012 and the rear half of the Sauber C31 when they launch their B-spec car at Mugello next month.

Although Ferrari clinched the victory last time out in Malaysia, in dry conditions their 2012 car is sorely lacking compared to its rivals - even the Sauber if the latter stages of the Malaysian GP are any indicator.

As a result, Ferrari are set to unveil a dramatically altered car at the only pre-season test at Mugello at the start of May.

According to reports, the 'new' car will look very similar to Sauber's C31 at the rear so much so that Autosprint have dubbed it the 'Ferrauber'.

Incorporating Sauber's exhaust layout, rear solution and sidepods, the two models will not only share looks but also engines and gearboxes as Sauber use Ferrari's.

The B-spec Ferrari, though, will stay retain its current front-end design.

The car is expected to be unveiled on the first day of a three-day in-season test at Mugello on May 1st.

Didn't realize it was $100. But it's also 300 pages.

I might need to learn a bit more about the content before I get one, but it looks interesting. So far it seems to be half picture book by Darren Heath and half McLaren biography.

Ya right!

For all you Vettel-haters/Hamilton-lovers... The video tape of the actual incident, shown from the front, from inside his car, and from the rear... CLEARLY show Karthikeyan moved to the right behind Vettel, NOT that Vettel moved to the left, as all of you are apparently oblivious.
This is born out by the ruling of the FIA against Karthikeyan - go figure.

Vettel's reaction could have been handled better, true. But back markers need to GTF out of the way - period.

Correct, Karthikeyan was at fault at the racing incident and been penalized by the stewards appropriately. End of story, and move on.

However the actions taken by Red Bull racing and Vettel himself is nothing professional at all. Insulting other drivers, and sending managers to smaller teams and bullying them?

Just having a less than ideal season opening and a racing incident shows the dark side of RBR perhaps?

Sure backmarkers need to GTF out of the way...but only in safe manner. Sounds like what RBR wants is they can put a aerodynamic deer guard in front and ram all the slower traffic out of the way.

Maybe Helmut Marko knowing a three weeks break is such a long wait. So he send some of his management team to "talk" to the smaller teams and bully them. So all F1 forums will have something to talk about.

And Vettel know we all miss his famous finger salute. So he show us another one in case we forgot how Seb using fingers to show his emotions...

One more week to go.

All this drama...and only after the second race! There is action on and off the grid. It's going to be a fun season to watch.
