E91 320D cooling issue?

I was cleaning my E91 320D when I opened the hood and saw this:





It looks like it's a vent going from the cooler to the engine?

I popped it back in, but I don't think that's supposed to happen. Can anyone explain what this is and if it could have damaged the engine?

I didn't notice anything while driving the car.

Its just the air vent from the front grill, looks to me like it was not clicked back into place after the car was serviced. nothing to worry about, just pop it back in and you sould be okay
