Error will not cause a warning light
Error is currently present

Its likely that you are clearing the code but it repopulates immediately. Whatever it is sounds like a real issue, it says "present" in the output.

I have the same code and am unable to clear it (or it recurs). The code has been present for several thousand miles. No idea what the problem is, or if there really is a problem.

Well it says error is currently present, so that means whatever is tripping it is still tripped. So there's probably something wrong. Take it to the dealer and let them deal with it...
