recently i change my tires for winter and i noticed when i'm driving

when im above 2500 rpm and accelerating my traction control light appears

like i spin tires lol it happens on the dry pavement. is that normal?

I'm guessing you have an X-Drive or an xi with AWD and your winter tires have more than a 1% difference in overall diameter between front and rear. This is the classic symptom of this common mistake. Be careful, you are damaging your drivetrain like this, IF its the case.

P.S. Suggest identifying in your 'Drives:' field shown below your avatar, that you have an awd, in case it has bearing on future questions you may ask in the forum.

lol. Not that then. Does sound like it though...You sure you bought a RWD? lol

If the winter tires are cold on a cold road, maybe they just aren't gripping as well as you expect them to? Sorry for stating the almost insultingly obvious, I'm really grasping here, I was so sure it was da awd thing....

I've heard that from a few other Blizzak owners as well, so it's not uncommon.

You could try a different set of tires...I have zero traction issues with my winter setup (from second gear on up) in dry conditions.

I'm having the EXACT same issue and am not sure why. Same tires (225/40/18 up front, 255/35/18 in back), wheels, diameters, etc. I've checked the tire pressures and they match the label on the door and the owner's manual. Pressures are around 33 up front, 40 in the back.

For kicks, I disabled TC and drove around and the problem seems to go away. I don't hear any sounds of burning rubber or anything. I realize tires have a break-in period of a few hundred miles, but I never had this issue on my E46 with WS60s and WS70s.
