Anybody actually running the E90 Gruppe M intake?
Curious if anyone is running the intake on their E90 and what it is like behind the wheel? Feel any difference? Hear any difference? How's your fuel economy since you installed the intake? What model do you have?
-Thanks! |

It's aweswome. Very noticeable improved throttle response. Seems like the engine revs with a lot more ease... And the sound is sweet... When droning, I hardly notice a difference. But when if you push it, it'll definitely make you smile Btw, the install is very easy!!!

I installed the GruppeM Intake at Technik. Took me about 30 mins, then had it dyno tested. See video (previous post this thread). No problems throughout the RPM range, even up to 7000 rpms. Car sounds very throaty and louder at around 2500-3200 rpm. It will use up more gas if you get on the throttle, and this is noticeable, but so is the added torque. When I baby the throttle, I'm getting 20.1 mpg city, 31-33 mpg hwy. |

In all probability you won't be babying the throttle after you get this intake. It sounds so nice, it's hard to drive like that. Your gas mileage will most likely drop. |

but moral of the story is that if you drive normal, you're fuel economy will remain constant with previous. If you push it, then you will consume more?
Another question I have is what do the BMW Warantee people say about this intake? Does it void anything? Last edited by epiphone3; 08-24-2006 at 11:10 AM.. |
