I'm interested. How much is this going to cost and how difficult is the install?

You're welcome to join our group install. The DIY (just like the PMBs) is quite involving. Well let us know or get your name down with mds82...

Ugh! I'm so not good around cars. I really want to do it. I just read the entire thread and those Lux Whites look awesome.
I don't even know how topop the hood...

ok ok don't fret...just join the buy list when it comes out. I think AJ is proposing to batch our orders together and be sent to his place to save on packaging/shipping...so I'd let him know as well, as soon as you place the order.
I am sure the 4 guys on the list wouldn't mind giving a fellow poster a hand in the DIY....

Yeah its one of those situations where I'd hate to order them and then have no idea how to install them and have them just sitting in my garage.
Should I PM AJ?

Yep, let AJ know that you're gonna order them and are interested in the group install and when the buy thread opens up (mds82 mentioned tomorrow as soon as his paypal opens up) get yourself on the list fast (so you'll be on the first batch, we all expressed interest weeks ago).

Im waiting to hear back from mds... If possible, Ill have all of the units for the DC Metro people packaged together. This way those of us that want to do the group install can all save some on shipping. If this is going to turn out to be 5+ cars, we need an alternate location. If people wouldnt mind swinging out my direction, we can do it in the elementary school parking lot across the street. They always have spots open, and its real close to my house... Theorietically, if we can get some jack stands, we could possibly work on 2 cars at a time... If the ZCP wheel deal goes through, maybe Ill wait until then to do the install. Its not every day Im putting my car up on a jack... |

AJ...GL on your ZCP wheel deal.
I'll scout around for jack stands, I am going over there prepared this time. I already have most tools. Are we doing it wheels off, this time? Btw, was in your area yesterday. I also passed by your vineyard recommendation (breax)...Rt 9 is quite entertaining, there are some nice twisties and the speed limits around the bends were quite generous (e.g. 45mph, 50mph etc). Charles Town slots was pretty lame (stayed long enough to lose $200  ), ended up driving around aimlessly towards martinsburg, had dinner and stumbled upon a rather happening joint in the area It was a fun mini excursion...

So are we aiming for this weekend? Adding the LUX to my to-do list, this is gonna be a DIY extensive weekend for me (amazing for this DIY-adverse individual )
My civic was broken into Sunday night (she parks outside while Ralf stays indoors nice and warm), some idiots were trying to steal my stereo head unit but failed (I had just replaced the head unit a few weeks ago and its bolted in tight). They left the stereo system but destroyed the center dash panel and broke a window. A little info, in the civic to gain access to the stereo, the lower dash panels have to be off for the center stack to slide out. So I have ordered new pieces and gonna stitch the ol'girl back together again this weekend, as well. Having the window replaced and retinted tomorrow as well. $350 hole in my pocket!!! Its gonna be a busy DIY weekend

your group install sounds like lots of fun. Let the rest of us know if you wouldn't mind some observers. I'm not making any mods to my E90 because I'm on the list waiting for an E92 (assuming its feasable once the pricing comes out).

Would the DIY be this weekend?!?!
I didn't think things could be produced/shipped that quickly. I'm going to NYC this weekend. (My first time!!!!!)

Yeah. I mean I went once for 12 hours for an 80th b-day party but other than that.
I have an ex who has a place in Manhattan overlooking Central Park so I'm staying with him and he's going to show me around before he leaves for Europe/Asia for the summer.
