Question about radio

Quick question. So you guys know how you can connect to the radio via Bluetooth for calls only. Is there any way to enable Bluetooth audio streaming for music. Via coding or some other way ?? With out installing a new radio ?

Sadly there is no way... it seems like you should sometimes the music starts up again before car disconnects and music plays through speakers... seems like an easy fix like pretend music is a call turn off mic. Sadly BMW was one of the last manufacturers to offer Bluetooth Streaming. I forget when but I would get loaners ten plus newer that didn't offer streaming or it was a paid upgrade.

Well dang. I just though since you can call through Bluetooth it would be able to play music. But I guess not.

Garage List
my 08 has a USB Audio interface in the center console (AUX and USB port). That might have been the Auxiliary Audio Option I see on the window sticker (S6FLA)?

I then purchased a Tunai Firefly Bluetooth Receiver on Amazon that plugged into the Aux and USB port. Bluetooth works great

In the picture, I also bought a 4 port USB expander and it charges my phone and other devices....

Got to the begging of the link above.
This box gets you usb sd and wireless play back .

It uses the cdc input as an interface and requires that it be enabled through programming.

BMW did not have wireless music streaming till around 2011 and you have
to have the idrive and the right hardware to have the option.
