Wanted this week 3 series around £5k

Helping a friend source a new car this weekend looking for a saloon or touring between £4,000 and £5,000 located in the south England let me if you have something suitable.

Ideally 320d but he will consider anything.

Be pushed to get an E9X I'd think, be a proper base car with high mileage.

I'd get a decent E39 for that price instead.

+1 to that. Mine was only just under 5k 140000 miles, SE spec. when i was looking there were some M-Sports knocking about but they had even more miles on them. Not saying they are no good depends what your friend wants?

you can find hundreds for that price

E90 / E91 can be had for as little as 3k these days with around 150k miles on a diesel.

5k is definitely m sport money. I wouldn't pay that much for SE and wouldn't pay 4 either for one

Prices have come down a lot recently (just look at my own 335i currently listed on ebay at £5750 and no offers yet)

here is what we've been offered this week
E90 325 2005 I SE manual 70k miles fsh 2005 £5k
E91 318d 2010 manual, leather, 130k miles 1 owner fsh £5995
E90 320d 2008 manual 140k £6k

unfortunately he is one of these people who think 100k miles is a lot so its not going to be so easy.

I know of a 56 plate 320D SE Saloon, that we've looked after since 2010, its an auto cloth interior and we've done a fair amount of work on it, price wise it'll be just over £5K(its not my call re pricing)its in black and body wise(finished in black by the way)and paint its not a show stopper but it appears overall to be clean, mileage just under 94500 history we've looked after it from 2010 its had a turbo replacement, gear box service inc sump, disc and pads on the front were changed back in late 2013 and appear to be serviceable as its a low use car now, glows, swirl flaps all sorted during the later part of 2013 as well.

Pics if needed avaialbe

If you had read my listing it stated mileage wasn't an issue as I don't cover a lot hence why I have argued your comment koo koo land.
The extras people pay for when new don't add a great deal of value to a car as its getting older.
If you can pick up an m sport with high mileage at 5k you won't be far off with Xenons, leather and Nav even if it's the early 55 plate as it's now ten years old.

So less of the tool pal.

If they dont like 100k+ cars that may well be a problem as 4-5k is the low end high milers of all specs, get them to push to 7k (not a penny less) and buy my 2007 e91 320i auto msport with 49000 miles , 19 inch csl wheels and dark line rear lights , it would of been thrown in as part ex by now but iv broken my foot so everythings gone on hold

330D
Auto
119k
Nav
Leather
Xenons

£5495...

Ticks what you're after, you'd probably get that for just over the 5 mark. Bargain.

Only thing it's not is M-Sport but it's still a great price.

Would like to hear how much you spent on maintenance / repairs?
