FS: OEM E90 HID headlights
I have a set of OEM HID headlights for a pre-LCI E90 335i. They should fit any E90 that is pre-LCI (2006-2009). I had them replaced do to some minor rock damage back in 2009, but they are far from damaged. They only have some very minor chips from pebbles from highway driving on all vehicles that are a few years old. They are from a 335i with self-leveling and cornering motors that turn with the car. They have the OEM angel eye lights. They have been in a BMW parts box for a few years now and I will take them out to take some new photos this weekend if anyone is interested. I have been hanging onto them as insurance in case I need replacements for the current ones I have, but they have held up very well.

Where in SoCal are you located (SlickE90)? I'm in Carlsbad, which is north San Diego county. We could arrange for a local pick up, if it's convenient. The RealOEM.com price on these head lamps new are over $938 for each side. http://realoem.com/bmw/showparts.do?...07&hg=63&fg=05
Chineese produced DEPOT brand's are probably significantly cheaper than that retail value, but they don't contain all the German mechanical and electrical engineering with the auto-leveling and turning motor reliability and design. I probably should have asked more like $600 for the set as a fair price, but they've just been sitting in BMW part boxes in my garage for a few years now (spring 2009) and I don't think I'll be needing them anymore. I was just hanging onto them for insurance for spare parts in case I had any problem with the replacement set I got, but I still have excellent insurance (USAA) and an aftermarket warranty that covers them too. You may want to check all the DIY instructions to be sure they'll be "plug and play" for E90/91/92 so they'll work in 325i/328i cars that were manufactured with the stock halogen lamps. Evidentially, these OEM housings don't include the control modules for the HID lamp or auto leveling/rotating feature. You would need to find a set of those, as well as the required bulbs.

They're in excellent condition and since I've had my car for 5 1/2 years already, maybe I'll just hang onto them as insurance in case I want to swap them out if the ones on my car get damaged or something. But that's what my comprehensive insurance is for... so maybe I can afford to sell them. I just want the sale to be worth it to me, but the buyer has to understand that the control don't come with these. If your car already is a pre-LCI E90 with Xenon headlights and you want to have newer lens covers, than this would be a good purchase. If you have a pre-LCI E90 with halogen headlights, then you have to consider the extra cost of the control modules that you will need, plus the possible need to have your ECU programmed at a dealership to understand the change.
