Single turbo 335xi! Video

http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature...&v=jSGpWbrmDXg

This is actually kind of exciting but I wonder how the tranny and transfer case will hold up. On his single turbo rwd version its putting out over 600 horses..

Hmm..

I guess n55's are single turbos... I meant to say Upgraded Single Turbo from Vishnu/fftech running 22 lbs of boost.

Hello again... Owner of the single turbo Xi checking in here. Check out the thread in the n54 section (ignore the usual back and forth between folks and skim for details and pics).

Still on vacation and plan to start getting times (0-60, 60-130, etc) and logs up probably next weekend once I catch up on work crap and get some time

Also keep in mind this its not over 600 horses for the rwd version... I'm not sure the exact numbers but I think the xi dynoed at around 519whp and the rwd version with same amount of boost somewhere between 530-550whp

Edit: Checked thread in n54 section for exact numbers. On this level of boost (22psi) it put down 519awhp and the rwd versions with the same boost puts down around 550awhp. Shiv also said a stock xi puts out 220awhp on the mustang dyno these runs were done on

I'm glad that you did this! I'd love a ride if I weren't so far away...

I just blew my turbos last week, so it's time to play with the blown cores or think single... Post lots when/if you can, we all appreciate any contribution/data/video you provide

General overuse I'm sure... I got the JB3 2.0 as soon as it came out and ran a 93 octane map on 91 at high altitude, always feeding it race gas and pushing it hard, been feeding it 100% meth from 3 nozzles for the past 18 or so months... I'm really impressed with how well they lasted given my boost addiction being the worst of them all

It is tempting... I've considered it but each time I conclude that if Vargas stage 3s fit the xi and someone does those with much better results than RBs... I'll regret my choice. I'm kind of content watching other people pave the path for a few reasons. Mainly because even my current set up almost never loses, especially in those very few and carefully controlled yet somewhat spontaneous moments here and there with an unsuspecting SRT-8 or just about anything really. You know what I mean better than I do, having gone harder.
