I've searched but no clear answers...i appreciate any help, thanks.

The E92 uses an H8 for the fogs, the H11 would be for the E90 as you found out

The information ppl give is only 50% accuracy.

YES>.. E90 is H11 55Watt
E92 is h8 35W.

The bulb between H11 and H8 is fairly similar. with exception on of the tab on H11 is slight bigger than H8.

Can you fit H11 into E92.. by slightly cut partial tab..... or modify housing .. by making the allighment hole a little bigger.

I have H11 PIAA Yellow Ion install ed on my E92 without any bulb error. They function correctly.

I also have a e92 with a H11 4300k hid kit no problems.

shinchan is correct on this, with some slight modifcation, an h11 can fit into a h8 socket, but we recommend h8 for fogs and angel eyes

not for angel eyes, wattage of OEM is 35W for angel eyes, h11 are 55W. similar in design but not 100%

e92 official part list (coupe)

Exterior:

Front:
Low Beam / High Beam: D1S Xenon
Cornering Lights: H3
Angel Eyes: H8
Foglights: Stock = H8 / M-Tech = H11
Front Turn Signals: PY24W
Side Turn Signals: 168
