JL Audio JX360/2 360W RMS How about this 2nd amp for subs?

I'm trying to find a way to boost the Hi-Fi system subs w/o spending a small fortune and thought adding a second amp strictly for them might be simple, easy, and low cost? Does the 2nd amp idea make sense?

The order of things to replace

The order of things to replace
The single worst thing about the Hi Fi system is the amp.
But the speakers aren't far behind.
If you notice there is practically no bass but if you turn it
up the tweeters and doors become harsh and distorted to.
The reason that people choose the Jl 600/6 is it does all
channels, fits in the stock location , is compatible with the radio
output and sounds good .
The Bimmertech setup can squeeze more out of the stock speakers
through use of DSP and time delay but it will be transformed by
better speakers to.
If you patch one part of the system without fixing the whole
thing you may find yourself forever chasing patches to fix
the other parts you didn't fix in the first place.

This questions has been rehashed many times here the
Jl 600/6 and the Helix 82dsp are proven and known good solutions.

For most things BMW and low cost are mutually exclusive.

Technic use to be the master of low cost solutions on here
and he couldn't get it much under 600 if I remember right
and those solutions are using component that may no longer exist and require some skill to install.

ctuna, is there a difference between the JL Audio XD600/6v2 6-channel car amplifier - 75 watts RMS x 6 and the XD600/6 - JL Audio 600W 6-Channel Class D Amplifier? Has that V2 designation changed anything. Wanting to make sure the Technic's harness fits also.

the v2 has signal sensing

the v2 has signal sensing which means you don't
need a physical turn on signal. But that signal is provided
by the Technic harness so its not a difference that
would mean anything.

Guido, if you're looking for an amp please send me your VIN by e-mail (piotr.fursa@bimmer-tech.net) or PM.

Just talk to this man. If it's as ctuna says that its gonna cost about $600 or so for what your looking for. May as well just get the Bimmertech amp with DSP

With its software as well you can set the gains higher for the underseats and leave the rest alone.

I suggest this as its plug and play and you can do it yourself in under 45 minutes and be DONE with it!!

Easiest and best solution in my opinion. Also, in my ears, it's has one of the cleanest signals too. I have a reference disc with zero data, played it and cranked the volume. NOTHING!!

just my .02 cents
