From which part of the turbo?
Plus anything leaking the most vital fluid in an engine isn't normal. A bit of oil getting past the rings, or some oil getting past the turbo seals as they age and are being used is justified. It's not like BMW has had issues on these turbos, or they've had to replace a bunch, or that they fail prematurely on a factory tune which they addressed by lowering the boost... Also, they get paid for the warranty work, so what do they care. |

id say it depends where its coming from-if its coming from the charge pipes and isnt setting faults than id say its slightly normal. If its coming from the drain back line at the turbo again its slightly normal as its not super critical and wont cause damage so long as its only a seep. The more common place ive seen "seeps" or what id say is a leak is coming from the actual center section of the turbo-in which case id say it calls for replacement.
