Water pump failure at 46k?
I think that may be the case for me. Had it towed to the dealer on Tuesday night because it overheated getting in the highway and went into limp mode. I've read quite a few threads and it doesn't seem to be uncommon, it's just surprising at such low mileage. I'm 6 months past my warranty but still under 50k so I'm gonna fight with the dealer to get it replaced under warranty if that's the problem. Worst case I might change it myself since the Indy shop around here wants $1300. I can get parts for just under $600 and I found a DIY, but it wasn't for a 335. Does anyone know if the intercooler will be in the way? Other than that, it looks pretty straight forward, but I'm hoping someone who has done it on a 335 can chime in

http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=784416 You should change the thermostat as well while you're in there. Also, the latest pump uses shorter bolts. Read the intro (in bold print) carefully. Last edited by Built My Way; 02-21-2013 at 03:57 AM.. |
