1/4 mile time goal .....

Ok so with JBD , meth, LSD , 17 inches drag tire , coilover, low fuel in tank, lots of practice ....... I should get into very low 12 in the 1/4 , what do you all think?

I'm thinking mid 12. (12.4-12.6). On the lower end if you rip out the extra weight & hit the gym before heading to the track . I'd love to see you prove me wrong, though. We need to get ourselves an 11s diesel.

Then if they actually sounded like dragsters when we romped on them all would be well.

There's some decent free calculators online that can give you an idea of what you'll need to meet your goal. Here's one:

http://www.hotrodpitstop.com/tool.php

Our cars with driver will weigh ~4000 lbs. Putting in my trap speed (109.7) from last Fall yields a ~ 412hp estimate. That should yield a 12.3-12.4 ET, but because the torque converter doesn't lock up in the launching gear there is more drivetrain loss/less hp to the gnd until it gets into 3rd gear (my ET was in the 12.6's, slower than the calculators predict, which I believe is due to the time spent in 2nd gear without the converter locked, and measured GTech data shows less hp to the gnd).

Hope your quest goes well and please keep us informed of the results!

I think more like mid 12 if you have a perfect run.
Does your car is much faster than just a JBD ?
Call me please, i want to see the diff between your car and my car on a run.
I will go to Napierville Dragway with you and also run my car to see the difference.

*** I can drive your car at the dragstrip I have made over 200 pass/year for the last 15 years

I'll be doing the 1/8th on Friday, provided the weather cooperates and the temps are good. My original runs with just a JBD put my 1/8th at 8.5ish, so with meth, things should prove interesting. There isn't a 1/4th mile strip close to me, else I'd have done that already.
