Turbo replaced

So after they changed my engine at 6000 km last year, they had to change the turbo this year, supposedly it was the source of my oil thirsty car.

My car is a lemon.

For this reason, I think I'll try to swap for the new F30 special edition.

If I can't do it, I'll wait and probably the next one will be a 335D, wagon if they offer it here (we'll have a kid this fall)...

For the runflats, I think I would be fine to bring it to the end of my 39 months lease on the original tires.

Morphius, that sucks.

Still in love with mine, can't imagine getting a new car...well, maybe an M3, at least until November

wow sorry to hear about the write-offs and lemons...ive been very lucky with my car it seems
Only problems(if you even want to call them that):

-had to replace rear run-flats with contisports from a flat (non-runflat, keeping a winter tire in trunk), stock run flat tires are like $850/ea!!

-3 out of 4 vent adjustment tabs fell off, seems to be held together by glue

-the interior hand slot on door seems to be pulled out (like half inch) and there is a gap now

-pretty sure if i hit one more pothole or manhole cover my skull is going to shatter along with my 313's...god knows what the bump-stops look like after the abuse of these toronto roads. suspension and wheels are my next things to be replaced

The 19s and 30 section RFTs are brutal aren't they.

Still, the RFTs have been very convenient at times, and the RFTs on 17s that I use in the winter actually ride acceptably well. Still unsure what I'm gonna do when these wear out, but I' likely still get this and next summer out of them anyway so I have lots of time to think about it.

Suddenly it's gobbling oil. Added a quart last week and it's down already - service notification came on this morning. Hmmm....makes me wonder. I'll get it in for service right away.

NEed some feedback before purchasing a 335xi SE

Hi Folks,

I'm ready to buy a 335xi SE and just posted a request for feedback on this thread (I saw this one too late) - I see there are more people here with 335i SEs, so any help or feedback will be appreciated

Cheers !

Hi folks! Just checking in here to see how you all are making out with your SEs.

I'm still loving mine. Most days I have the sound system cranked up, but some days when the temperature is nice I like to just roll down the windows and listen to the growl, and the crackles and pops from the PE. Man it sounds nice.

I've had some minor battery issues but nothing that makes me want to drive anything else. Hope you are enjoying the summer in your rides!!

Hi guys,

It's been a while that I didn't come here!

As Kernel Kurtz says, it's still all about the growl, crackles and pop isn't it?

Mine went in for service (again) yesterday...strange noise coming from left front wheel (or direction, or suspension) when turning at low speed. They seemed to have no clue of what it might be. We'll see.

Even though I had soooo many problems with mine, I'm still considering buying it (with and extended warranty) when my lease comes up in feb. 2015...because I love driving this car!

I've always said that if I would buy it after the lease I would drop the suspension, but if I take the extended warranty I think I'll have to leave it as is....

I realize that the cars we have were really good bang for the buck! (relatively speaking)

When I was quoted for the same edition but for the F30, the lease was like 1300-1400 !!! I went to see the macan as well .... same thing, 1300-1500$ per month!

Anyone has experience with the extended warranty? It's like 3500-4000 for 6-7 years 160 000 - 200 000 KM.....

Fellow SE guys. My car is being returned to the dealer in the next few months. I removed all my mods.

I've got Jerez Black reflectors that I do not need anymore. If you guys don't already have these, shoot me a PM.

Hope the cars are still treating you guys well.

When I had the service engine light problem, they first said that I did not close the gas cap, it took me 3 trips to bring my car back for them to fix that problem before they caused another problem to my car: denting and scratching my car!
The problem has not come back and I am crossing my finger! I am trying not go back to that dealer for service if I don't need to.
One thing I find though when dealing with the dealer is that, you have to stay calm, act professionally, state you point and let them know that you'll fight for your right.
I remember some years ago, I was very mad at a dealer and at the end the police has to come. Sometime they may agitate you just to make you mad!
Be calm, be polite, be professional, make your points and you'll get the problem resolved.

When you run your hand over it the scratch line, you can't feel it. Is it something that can 'buff' out?

I hate the piano black and don't understand why BMW didn't just use the same carbon fibre mesh for the center console.

Hey boys, first post on here, so BUMP lol. Been toying with the idea of grabbing one of the E90 xDrive automatics, Jerez black, with 90k on it and all service records. It has a carproof of damage claim of about 15k. I'm looking at paying 25k for it, has warranty til November 2017=

Is there anything I should look out for at all, is this a good price? the dealer has one right now with half the km, for 41k....looking forward to hearing the responses. It'll be quite the trade off from my daily 2000 Acura TL, but I do have an '11 128i for summers.

Thanks boys!

I see the local dealer has a Special Edition on the lot. Maybe one of the folks on this thread has traded up to something else?

https://www.birchwoodbmw.ca/inventor...M-Sport/68255/

Still have a year left on my lease, but I think I'm going to buy it at the end. I'm just not feeling the F30, but time will tell.
