They wanted 65 quid only because your car doesn't say something on the boot lid? Lame!

To be perfectly honest mate, I don't know which spoiler it is. It was on when I bought the car. If anyone can shed some light on which it is, I'd be grateful.

As for mods, I'll probably change the weels, maybe change the steering wheel to a M Sport version abd get some Blackline rear lights for her. Other than that, I'll see what's out there.

Another recruit in BMW's world dominance.

Just acquired a '55 320D Touring (actually, that sounds a bit dodgy - I did buy it!).

My new baby is Sparkling Graphite with Black Dakota Leather. Got some cool toys like bluetooth, spokey 17" alloys and professional nav's poor cousin - business (it's quite good actually).

I've been through quite a few motors since I passed my test in the 1850's, but finally caved and bought an 525D Touring in March. After too much time at the pumps decided to go for the 320D and don't have a bad thing to say about it (except not being able to adjust Dual Climate Control from one knob, but thats just an OCD thing).

Anyway, might look for some upgrades when my finance recover. Do they do blacklines for the Touring? I need to replace a few bits of trim like interior door handle and gear stick (maybe a shorter one) - judging by the jewellry scratches on the existing one, the former owner was Mr T.

Pics to come... Might try and make it up to UK6 on Saturday - perhaps there are some Dave Baileys amoung you guys (hint hint).

Nearly forgot... Hello everyone.

Welcome mate! Congrats on getting a Denzil. Unless you get a re-map you will be no match for Carl in the DXB... (you'll work out what this means soon enough!)

Yes you can get blacklines for the E91 and if you come along to UK6 you will see Matt's E91 with blacklines and he's our resident photographer

Try ebay for blacklines but must be for E91. If not, try Costwold BMW http://www.cotswoldstore.com/PartsRequest.aspx for both your blacklines and short shifter (like the one you fitted on mine). They offer a 10% discount if you fill in the online form (they phone you back to discuss so don't worry) and they offer free delivery

Hope to see Saturday mate!

Welcome aboard.

I'll be at UK6 with the cameras and I'm sure we can get a few shots of your E91. But then I am biased towards them so it's pretty much a given if you show up.

Can't add much more than Boo on the blacklines front, other than to post up a piccie and say that mine were from Cotswold (as is the car).

Now that is an E91 to aspire to! You and Boo have more toys than Hamleys.

I'll have to save up my pennies for some blacklines - think they will go with the Sparkling Graphite quite well.

I think I have the shot where the M3 is in focus and mine is not.... but it doesn't look as good.

Looking at that shot remonds me I need to clean it before the weekend.

It is better to upload photos to the forum server and not photobucket because if you move the files off photobucket your link on the forum thread gets the infamous red X.

A/J, if your pictures are too big then they won't upload. Unless you're vigilant, you may not recognize the failure and continue thinking all is well.

Hi,

Thought I'd register and say hello, just brought myself a e92 335D, Should hopefully be picking her up in 2 weeks time.

I was originally after a 335i, but when I saw this 335D with an amazing spec I couldn't resist and a deposit was paid. Once I have the car I'll get some pics posted along with the full spec. Looking forward to my first BMW, saying I can't wait just dosn't do the feeling justice.

Great Website btw, gained loads of info prior to buying .

Hi,

I'm am about to become the owner of my very first BMW, a 320d Edition M Sport Touring in Carbon Black - can't wait only 2 weeks to go!

I have been looking at this excellent forum and cannot seem to find the answer to a specific question on Thule racks for the E91 (plenty on related stuff). Has anyone got a Thule footpack and bars fitted to their 3 series touring - if so can you pease confirm whether it is the 755 and 861 (aero) packs? I am planning to get a couple of 591 Proride bike carriers to sit on top - any advice or can yu point me to thread I missed.

Cheers

Welcome to all you newbies

I'm Porscha, any questions you have regarding Classic Cars or Porsche of any age I'm here to answer, also know abit about BMWs from the E30 to the E46, don't know an awful lot about E90/1/2/3 apart from which look good and where these new BMWs are concerned "there ain't no replacement for displacement" so go and get yourselves an M3, quick!!

Hope to see you at one of our little gatherings soon!

Thanks for the welcome.

Not sure I would have been ready to track day it just yet, may need to get used to the power, when I test drove one it didn't feel as fast as I thought it would, but when I looked at the speedo I was shocked at how fast I was actually going. need to keep a keen eye on that speedo.

Here's the car I've brought
http://www.bmw.co.uk/bmwuk/auc/car_d...WD72060PW59886

What do you think of the rear spoiler, is it an aftermarket one or an option from BMW? as you can see the original owner had ticked pretty much every option going. What I'm getting at is will it need to be declared to the insurance? if model deletion cost £65 i'm a little worried to what a spoiler will do.

I also managed to get the dealer to throw in an ipod connection, but he says this will disconnect the CD changer, and the changer can't be sold on, is this true?

That looks like the spoiler from the Aero package normally seen on the SE coupe.

Lovely car mate!

Where in the South West are you?
