AFE intake + Angel eyes install time

Hi,

Just got myself the AFE stage 2 intake and some new angel eye bulbs.. how long should I give myself to install the both of these?

I'm not mechanically inclined and will just be following DIY step by steps :S

Are they Lux plug and play Angel Eyes?

If so, figure 45 minutes. Why 45 minutes? Because the driver said is a complete PITA to remove and install the Bulb. Simply a space issue.

They are GP Thunder.. Is there a good DIY for this?

I'm guessing this is plug and play as well?

aFe stage 2 took me less than an hour start to finish, but i only had to remove BMS DCI's and not the full OEM airbox, which might take a bit longer.

MAKE SURE YOU KEEP THE RUBBER GROMMETS from the OEM airbox!!

I read that I only have to remove the Fender Liner on the driver side and that the passenger side is easily accessible from the engine bay.. is this true?

Also since I am removing my intake for the AFE install.. will I be able to access the Drivers side angel eye housing easily without the need to go through behind the wheel?!

Thanks!

Not sure about the AFE but for the angel eyes are you pre-LCI? If so then I think 45-60 mins. You might be faster but that's roughly how long it took me when I did mine (also not too mechanically inclined and wasted some time cause I couldn't figure out the fender liner at first). Don't bother with trying to get to the bulbs through the engine bay unless you got small hands and good dexterity. I did the full monty, wheels off, front half of fender liner rolled down, so that I could get my head in the wheel well to get a good view of everything and room to work (helped with the inside screw). good luck.

Yes I'm Pre-LCI.. thanks for the advice! I'll see what it is like with the intake out and remove the liner if I have to I suppose.

once again I'm so happy I no longer have a pre lci lol
installing aes for lci is like a 10 min job max
pre lci on the other hand...45 mins maybe
probably worth it to jack up your car and take the wheels off to give yourself more room
did it once on my pre lci without taking wheels put was a pain in the ass but I had no jack so I had no choice
