650 is normal idle, so 50 under that is going to produce some more vibrations. You also probably need new motor mounts.

+1 to motor mounts.

You can adjust idle using ISTA (and possibly INPA too?), but I’d only do this if you’re sure the low idle isn’t caused by something else.

Sounds about right for cold starts around that temp. I don't know the exact temp it decides to do that, but cold weather starts will do exactly that to warm up the cats.

You have a throttle, use it to keep the idle up until the engine warms.

It's ironic that I just saw this post. I drove my 330i this morning for the first time in a week (sitting in the garage the whole time) and noticed that it was vibrating at idle after the RPMs dropped. Never had this happen before. After driving I also noticed some mild lifter tick at certain RPMs until the engine was fully warmed up.

My engine and transmission mounts are also relatively new, installed Corteco (OEM) mounts last year.

It has been a bit colder lately at least during the mornings, so maybe that's the cause. Once the engine is fully warmed up it's not vibrating or ticking so I'm not too concerned.

My original dual mass flywheel seems to be on its way out - I get some clicking and chattering from it occasionally. For example, if I rev the engine while in neutral I can hear some rattle when I let off the gas and the tension unloads. I wonder if the cold idle vibration has something to do with that?

If i abrupty rec it and let off fast in neutral without the clutch in. It has gear chatter but thats normal. Or after driving in traffic alot i hear gear chatter more doing that. I use motul gear 300. In the cold its hard to even get it in gear. Summer it is smooth as silk
