Can't figure out what this box is?

Hey guys! Recently i have bought my first BMW! It is a e90 318i 2008. I just found this weird looking box thing that goes all the way up to the corner of my windshield, it is wired and the wire goes down under the glovebox somewhere in the center console. It definitely looks aftermarket but I can’t figure out what it is, it has no markings on it whatsoever. Help is appreciated

Looks to be an aftermarket satellite radio antenna.

There are GPS trackers with a similar design. I would follow the wire and verify what it's connected to.

Yeah looks like a Sat radio antenna. They sold car kits for cars back then for cars without satellite radio. 📻 i had one back in like 2005 something like that 🙄😂 Audi TT car.

You thought you were safe, but the Empire placed a tracking beacon on your ship, before they dumped their trash and made the jump into hyperspace. Boba Fet probably has a laser pointer on you right now…..
